Activities

Mrs. Rani (Name changed) is a widow affected with HIV, living in Tuticorin. She has two children. She is a daily labourer. Since her meagre income is not sufficient to meet her family needs, DAIA has provided two goats to enhance her income on 30.08.2019. She is thankful to DAIA.

Mrs. Jothi (name changed) HIV/AIDS patient is living in a village near Tuticorin district. Her husband passed away 13 years back, leaving 4 kids. Her first daughter is a mentally retarded child 14 years old, and her old mother is staying with her too. In the mean-time somebody has encroached on her own lands, so DAIA took up this matter through a lawyer, Mr. Abdul Khadar to safeguard her human rights.

During the month of July 2018, DAIA has started two Tuition centres in the rural area of Tuticorin with the support of well-wishers. More than 35 students are learning in each group. The aim of the centres is to empower deprived children to improve their life by ministering to them in education, health care and personality development

Another academic year has begun with some PLHA (Patients living with HIV/AIDS) children probably going into college levels. We wish them all God’s blessings in their education. On 14.07.2018 DAIA had conducted Educational support program at Zion church at 3 p.m. God enabled us to supply school bags and water bottles for 90 children.
